Based on my personal observation, research, experience and education in the food industry and life. I’ve observed that; nothing outside a human being especially food can make a human body diseased. Rather it is not what lays outside that makes humans diseased, but what is absorbed within a human heart, for what is outside doesn’t go into his heart but into his stomach and then out of his body. All types of food sourced outside the body, we choose to eat is clean, tasty and gracefully fills our tummy when we are hungry. However the human body works well most of the time, most days we see people healthy and energetic going to work and school. But when the body is diseased it is not working well, it breaks down in the way it normally works. Why? The issue is from within out of a human being heart comes negative diseases energy. How? Within a human being (man) lays naturally seven essential nutrients (carbohydrates, fats, fiber, minerals, proteins, vitamins, and water) the human bo

Achieving dietary diversity requires a sufficient variety enabling environment for achieving dietary diversity and meeting essential nutrient requirements becomes more critical than ever. This is particularly true in areas that have experienced rapid urbanization; although dietary diversity in such areas may have increased – for example, with the availability of more animal-source foods – diets generally also include more processed high-sugar, high-fat, and less nutrient-dense foods than they did prior to the urban and economic transition.  This, coupled with reduced physical activity as lifestyles become more sedentary, has resulted in a complex nutrition paradigm whereby undernutrition and micronutrient deficiencies coexist with overweight, obesity and diet-related non-communicable diseases (NCDs) . (Innovating for Sustainability, Sight & Life Magazine) Changing this paradigm requires not only individual and household behaviour change but also significant changes acr

Empowering People to use Energy to Access Healthy Nutritious Food

Energy 4 a cause project is about empowering people with a capacity to choose to spend energy for a cause. To choose to engage in a physical activity that will improve their ability to access healthy nutritious food, by using their energy in a physical activity that will prevent overweight/obesity that lead to Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD). At the same time improve their access to nutritious healthy food using energy not their purchasing power. This project intends to shift mind-set that it’s only through relaying on purchasing power (income) or government social grant welfare to access healthy food. The responsibility to access fresh nutritious vegetables lays on the individual to visualize and start an initiative in their community ecosystem to invest in food production projects in their communities to improve their individual and community health. This project below highlights the stories of individuals who want to take on the responsibility to improve their own health b
You Too can Start your Own Energy 4 a Cause Initiative for your Community. How? This initiative aims to encourage regular physical activity (energy expense) and the consumption of a healthy nutritious diet, because they’re well-established protective factors for the prevention and treatment of the leading Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), namely heart disease, stroke, diabetes and breast and colon cancer. They also contributes to the prevention of other important NCD risk factors such as hypertension, overweight and obesity, and is associated with improved mental health, improved quality of life and well-being. The 1st step :  Are you willing to engage in an energy expenditure physical activity daily, for two hours daily to accomplish 1. A Physical Active lifestyle 2. To shift your diet patterns to a nutritious dense traditional diet. 3. To engage in a community based initiative that will encourage physical activity in your daily life that can improve individual and commu
Energy For a Cause   What's the effect? The effect is that we are living Physical inactive urban lifestyles and eating too much Ultra Processed food Products (UPPS) that are energy-dense but nutrient poor  (UPPs) . Obesity is the consequence of disrupted energy balance, which is maintained in the body through the coupling of energy intake and expenditure. Physical activity is a determinant of energy balance. To engage in an energy expense activity for a cause for 2 hours u spend between 2100 -4200 kJ of energy that could be stored in your body and lead to obesity, since obesity is disrupted energy balance in the body. For the first time in history, more people are dying from Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease than from communicable diseases like malaria and tuberculosis. This is a serious and growing problem that has not gotten the attention it deserves. NCDs kill nearly 41 million people each year in the world, many of them w
